Founder Isaac Robert Kwapong

Founder Image

Isaac Robert Kwapong is a sports consultant, character coach, and founder of Impact Youth Foundation. Isaac got into sports with a mission to change the narrative of how the youth in Ghana are being negatively used by sports instead of using sports as a transformational vehicle to not only make a living but also to make a difference in society

Isaac is well experienced in the sports development industry in Ghana, having worked at top institutions such as Right To Dream Academy, Lincoln Community School, Ghana Christian International School, and currently Al-Rayan International School. Over the years, he has represented international sports organizations in Ghana, such as Spire Institute, College Connect International, and 3D Institute, and now Sports Equity Lab, all based in the USA. Isaac’s deep knowledge and passion for sports management and sports development turn everything he touches into gold. Isaac currently consults for educational institutions and also serves on focused sports committees and groups working to transform the landscape of sports in Ghana.

Board Chairman

Albert is a business and technology professional with vast experience in telecommunication, business development, and technology. Albert has been involved with Impact Youth Foundation as an advisor and through his two teenage daughters who have been participants in our basketball camps and community development events over the years.

Lucy Mills

Advisory Board Member

Lucy is currently the International Programs Director at FC Barcelona Foundation. She is an experienced sport professional with vast achievements in fundraising and program development in the sports for development industry notably with FIFA, Right To Dream Academy, and Grassroot Soccer. Lucy is from the UK but has a deep interest to see the full potential of the African youth.

Dr Johari Shuck

Advisory Board Member

Dr Johari Shuck apart from being a member of the advisory board is also directly involved in the curriculum development of our program. Dr J is a highly skilled youth program and curriculum consultant with many years of experience. She is from the Chicago area in the USA.

Dr Veronica Fynn Bruey

Advisory Board Member

Dr Veronica Fynn Bruey is the founder and editor-in-chief of the Journal of Internal Displacement. Dr Fynn Bruey is a born and bred Liberian war survivor who lived in Ghana for 9 years as a refugee while attending secondary school and the University of Ghana where she played multiple sports including basketball. She is currently based in Seattle, USA

Objectives

  • To provide quality and holistic sports programming for all children and youth irrespective of their background or gender.
  • To provide underprivileged children and youth access to quality free basic and secondary education, as well as tertiary education and vocational skill training.
  • To support the physical, mental, and emotional health of children and youth.
  • To sustainably raise and generate funding for the implementation of our programs and projects.
  • To attract, inspire, equip, and empower a minimum of young sports leaders and coaches as impact makers in their communities.
